Rusty has been waiting for a set of lungs in Florida. Finally he took time to visit back home in the Carolina's. While driving, he went through a very smokey patch from forest fires. Later he had trouble breathing, with his FEV 1 down in the teen's... a trip to the ER. He has been there a month with collapsed lungs, and just recently transferred to another hospital. Finally his lungs are beginning to seal up the leak point. We all hope he will somehow get back down to Florida near where he would have a transplant should one become available for him. He kept so fit with exercise, his number was farther from the top one, because he worked so hard. Now, once his lungs seal...he will be closer to being the 'one'... he can rehab again and be fit for TX. I hope some of your collective good thoughts for him might help.
firstname.lastname@example.orgToday I 'pushed harder' on speed. Stayed indoors as it was very hot and hazy. Pressing upwards from 2.5 mph I kept oooching up the TM speed a tenth at a time, and finally completed 3 miles in 46 minutes 50 seconds. It never ceases to amaze me now that I am quite conditioned, that when I push harder I feel so terrific...rather than exhausted.
