The PAR Meet-the-Expert Patient/Family forum
segment at 10:00 am - 12:30 pm will be an informal
mix and mingle forum held prior to the general
scientific sessions will give patients and their families a chance to interact with prominent
pulmonologists from around the globe and ask them questions.
The Breathing Better forum is a patient-information session open to lung patients and their
families and will feature expert speakers, as well as patients who will share their stories.
The theme for this year’s event is “Empowering Patients”; many high profile pulmonologists
will give a series of talks on patient empowerment
The event is free for participants. There will be an oxygen refill station, lunch will be provided.
The chair for this years Seminar is Dr. Bart Celli, known worldwide as a prominent COPD physician
and educator.
A representative from the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute will be present to discuss current
research and clinical trials and should provide an excellent opportunity to express our need for more
funding geared toward finding a cure!
Let's show the ATS the heart of the Denver COPD community. By making our voices and
concerns heard we can play a major part in ultimately finding a cure!
