Erythrinus is the Red Mullet fish. A remedy that hasn't been proved but what information we have comes from Burnett who prescribed this remedy for allergic type skin rashes (those that are often seen in the symptom picture of many of the sea remedies). Burnett thought this remedy to be of syphilitic origin (second generation) and this is why Aurum muriaticum would be considered a good choice as a complimentary remedy (it having the property of causing suppressed discharges to reappear and would thus open up the case of second and possibly even later generations that are born from suppressed syphilis).
I think this could be a very important remedy for having a new and full proving as it could be invaluable in treating stubborn allergic and chronic skin conditions that have a syphilitic taint and become so chronic, so ingrained, they become very difficult to eradicate. Joy
