When most people think of these two words, many different images and scenarios come to mind. Whether it is the ability to run a marathon, survive a life-threatening illness, or enjoy your life with the people you love, it is an innate sense of wellness and well-being. Often times, we get caught up in the daily grind and succumb to societal pressures of what we should be doing or need to be doing to achieve this state. But the truth is that if we learn to slow down and listen to our mind, body, and soul, we will be guided down our own perfect path. There is no magic formula or right or wrong way to do this. In fact, I can’t even tell you how to do this. It’s something to be discovered in your own, unique way. Just knowing that true health and happiness is possible, even tangible in the most seemingly undesirable set of circumstances, can provide the trust and faith that you need on this journey.
