I haven’t really been one to have trouble sleeping—that is unless my husband is snoring. I will admit though to always having some white noise playing at night.
Without white noise, I cannot sleep. It has a meditative effect, lulling me into a pleasant, peaceful state. It’s usually a fan or the air conditioner. Lately, though, I’ve been listening to a website that does just that. It’s called appropriately enough, SoundSleeping.
You chose your mix of sounds. For concentrating while I’m at the computer, I may have an ocean soundscape, complete with gulls. The drumming music is especially soothing. I’ve nearly caught myself falling asleep at my desk.
Certainly, if the sandman eludes you, give this site a try.
