What is it about cheese that so many Americans eat it in copious amounts on a daily basis? Not a lot of cultures even use cheese. Cheese is a very fattening food and it can be extremely oily and not good for your heart or circulation.
The media in the U.S. as well as the FDA state that cheese should be a part of the diet because it contains calcium. But MANY other foods have calcium too!!!
Asian food doesn't cook with cheese and doesn't serve it (that I have seen). Ayurveda doesn't even use or cook with cheese because it is such an oily food and is quite fattening.
Some parts of India does eat cheese, but not that much and in very sparing amounts. There are other parts of India that doesn't use cheese at all.
Why in America are we so hypnotized by that oozy and gooey cheese substance? It's on pizza and pasta and burgers. The three most popular foods Americans consume daily.
Is it a wonder that Americans have the health problems we have and are so obese?
Here's a food experiment...
Try NOT eating cheese for a week. You will feel lighter. If you feel you HAVE to eat cheese, then observe all the ways in which you are finding cheese in your life. People even eat cheese on their breakfast sandwiches!! At McDonald's there are egg, cheese and meat sandwiches. Is there any escape from cheese? They use cheese for breakfast and continue for the burgers.
Let's stop the cheese madness!! Those commercials are hypnotizing us with the oozy and gooey "Behold the power of cheese" routine.
