The Gift of Happiness

The winter holidays tend to be the most stressful time of year.  We are concerned about meeting the expectations set up by family, society and traditions.  We are worried about buying the perfect gift, cleaning, hosting, attending parties- the list is endless.  This season, take a moment and examine your priorities and the pressure you are putting upon yourself.  Do you have to attend every holiday party?  Can you truly afford all of those expensive gifts?  What things do you feel comfortable with letting go of this year?  Just because you did it last year does not mean you are married to it for life. 

Remember to save a little something for yourself this season.  Give yourself the gift of happiness by minimizing your stress and cutting yourself some slack.  You will enjoy the holidays more than ever before, which in turn will cause those around you to do the same.  Remember, happiness is truly the gift that keeps on giving!
