Recipe: Indian style spicy cauliflower

Cauliflower has such a delicate taste that sometimes it needs help to get off the plate. This will do it!

Ingredients (for 4)

3 tablespoons grape seed oil

1 medium potato, peeled and finely diced (or about 100g sweet potato)

1 teaspoon dried turmeric

½ teaspoon dried cumin seeds

1 inch piece fresh ginger root, finely sliced

½ teaspoon chilli powder

1 medium cauliflower, divided into equal sized florets

Salt & pepper


  1. Heat oil, stir fry potato & spices for 2 minutes
  2. Add cauliflower & sauté over low heat for 5 mins, then salt to taste
  3. Cover pan and cook over gentle heat until the cauliflower is tender (10-15 mins)
