Lately, I’ve heard about a number of severe side effects of presciption medications. We sometimes forget that most drugs act on many of the body’s systems, not only the intended target.
According to yesterday’s Seattle Post Intelligencer, “Prescription pills replaced accidents as the leading cause of death by unintentional injury” two years ago in Washington State. This is yet another important reason to use Guided Imagery/ hypnotherapy to manage pain. Hypnosis is cost effective, safe and was approved by the AMA in 1958 as anesthesia and for pain management.
