Motivational Tip — One Good Thing

When first beginning the progress toward fulfilling a new goal, enthusiasm fuels the journey. Later, when the hard work sets in, it’s too easy to let negative thought invade. By voicing it, we give it permission to take hold. Soon, that one negative thought has mushroomed into a major stumbling block.

Rather than give up, stop a negative thought with a positive one. At the end of the day, give yourself a few moments to reflect on the day. Find that one good thing, the one action that wasn’t a negative, but rather moved you closer to your goal. Nuture that one good thing. Praise yourself for accomplishing it. You are one step closer to realizng your goal.
