Mind-Body Healing--More Support for Guided Imagery

One of the ways you can empower yourself in healing is to use mind-body techniques. One such technique is called guided imagery. Guided imagery usually uses music and suggestions by a practitioner to allow you to produce images of disease and healing. It helps by getting your mind and body to focus on healing and by facilitating your body's healing systems.



Recently an article in the January issue of the Mayo Clinic Health Letter lends more support for this technique. Guided imagery has been shown to reduce fear and stress, reduce side-effects from cancer treatments, boost the immune systems, reduce headaches and promote wellness in many other ways.



Many alternative medicine practitioners have been using guided imagery and suggestion for many years. It is good to see more support from mainstream medicine.
