How Inflammed are you?

Cold weather...stress...processed foods...white bread/white flour pasta...anxiety...not drinking enough water? Any of these speak to you?

You feel tightness in your joints, unexplained bloating or swelling, stiffness, water weight gain, anxiety? We've all felt one or more of these before.

Cold weather usually exacerbates the tightness and stiffness we feel. Got hot tea or soup?

Hot lentil soup or bean soup are good anti-inflammatory foods to try too.

What about spices?

  • turmeric
  • cayenne pepper
  • ginger
Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties. It also may prevent cancer and block tumor growth too!

Cayenne is mostly known to ease pain or boost metabolism, but it also known to alleviate arthritic pain!!

Ginger is also touted for its anti-inflammatory properties and a very popular and commonly used spice. You can slice it, or use it in powder form. If we've had sushi in the past, we seen it lurking on the side of our plates. Go ahead and take a bite of it. It will soothe the inflammation in the body and it also aids in digestion too.

Ginger is known as the universal medicine. Though it is mainly known for anti-inflammatory, it is known to alleviate nausea and helps digestion too.

Try incorporating these spices into your meals everyday. Your body will thank you!!
