How do I get rid of two large (2"X3") hematomas in muscle caused by an accident?

Posted by mspooh

I had a horse rear up and fall over backwards on top of me. The saddle hit me in the lower abdomin leaving a lot of bruising. No broken bones, thankfully, and probably because of the snow. After 2 weeks, the superficial bruising is all gone and these two large hematomas remain. One in my left upper groin area and one on top of my pelvic bone. Both are inside muscle, and feel like two pool balls stuck there.

I do not have a foolproof answer, what I can say after dealing with two of my own on both sides of my hips is that they are getting smaller.  I do not know what exactly is helping them, but here are the things I do:  homedics muscle massager (lightest setting because mine are super pain sensitive) 1 time per day approx 10 minutes.  Wearing a girdle...doctor's bright idea!  Epsom salt baths once per week.  Ultrasound therapy with my Physical therapist along with movement and stretching of the muscles in the area -- and I ride my bike.  I was smooshed between my gate and my truck on Martin Luther King day...it is now St patty's day and I am walking and exercising.  I hope these work for you and you find yourself recovered soon!  God is Good!
