How can I get an earache to settle down until i can get to a dr?

Take some virgin olive oil and heat it up on a tea spoon.  Just heat it a little though.  Drip some in the ear that hurts and put a piece of cotton in it to keep it from running back out.  Make sure that you keep your head tilted for a minute or so after you've put in the oil.  It should really help you with getting some well deserved sleep.  Hope this helps.  Let me know if you need additional assistance.
