Fruits and vegetables provide those essential B vitamins that support so many body functions including blood cell formation, metabolism, and energy generation. Sure, you can take a multi-vitamin, but won’t you rather have a bowl of fresh berries or sweet green peas?

It’s easier than you think to add some fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Make it a point to include one or both at each meal. Add them to your entrée as an ingredient. Instead of chips, have an apple or some carrots with fat-free ranch dip.

Including fresh produce in your diet is vital to your good health. It is that important. If the price of produce turns you off, opt for frozen choices which are just as nutritious. There really isn’t a reason that you cannot include these foods in your diet.
