Here is a great EFT tip from my friend and colleague Carna Zacharias Miller.
DO YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN WITH YOUR HEALING WORK? by Carna Zacharias Miller
I can't stand making lists. It's the most boring thing in the world for me, and I just won't do it. So here is a variation of Gary Craig's Personal Peace Procedure that is fun.
Get two boxes/cups/bowls in different colors. (I have colorful ceramic cereal bowls, so I will say "bowls" from now on, but any suitable container will do).
In the first bowl, all the painful events of your life that need tapping are collected. The second bowl contains the events that have been treated sucessfully by you.
Also, have a bunch of small pieces of papers or blank cards available (I cut index cards in half). To get started, take a card, think of a specific event/memory that has a negative emotional charge and jot down a short title for it. For example: "The day my father left us", "Halloween when I was 6". Prepare several cards and put them into the first bowl.
Now, whenever you have the time and inclination, take a card out of the first bowl and do EFT until the emotional intensity has dropped way down. If you got an important insight in the process, note it on the backside of the card. Then place the card into the second bowl.
This is really fun! It is visual and kinesthetic because you can see and touch your progress.
And there is another advantage to it: EFT becomes a part of your life in a very effective yet unobtrusive way. All the old and new emotional "stuff" that pops up during the day that we usually suppress because we can't or don't want to deal with it - well, just jot it down and put it into your first bowl for now.
