reflexologyfoot Disruptive pupils to receive reflexology Complementary therapy is set to enter the education system. Unruly pupils at schools within Lambeth borough in London will receive reflexology treatment from local reflexologists in an attempt to control their disruptive behaviour.

London-based charity ‘Bud-Umbrella’, which offers alternative medicine and complementary therapies, has received £90,000 worth of funding from the council to allow reflexologists to attend schools within the borough of Lambeth.

The charity is targeting 60 primary schools and 14 secondary schools that have children under the age of 13 who are considered to have behavioural problems.

Bud-Umbrella describe reflexology as a beneficial way of calming aggressive behaviour and improving concentration. Reflexology will also help children who suffer with anxiety and stress.

Lambeth Council are confident that using alternative and innovative methods will address the problems young people face and will use complementary therapy alongside traditional methods of dealing with anti-social behaviour.
