There is a fabulous support group for Breast Cancer Survivors that meets at noontime, two Tuesdays a month at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. I was honored to be part of the group this past Tuesday and lead a discussion about managing stress. The co-facilitators are bright, aware, encouraging, caring women, Beth Shute, a recent retiree from Portsmouth Hospital and Diane Zaidlicz, an RN in Oncology who was a recipient of the Frist Humanitarian Award for her contributions toward bringing healing back to healthcare.
The participants were very quick to point out the importance of honoring the emotional impact of breast cancer and are fully present for women in any stage of this disease.
For more information, call Portsmouth Regional Hospital at 603-436-5110
