I love rail trails! They're fairly flat, and usually have lovely scenery. I love to take active vacations and this year was no exception. We hiking and biked on the lovely Virginia Creeper Trail, near Damascus, Virginia. It's about 30 miles of winding scenery that takes you along rushing rivers, waterfalls, forests and Christmas tree farms. Rail trails offer lots of family fun AND fitness!
