You will need a very large bowl for this recipe because it yields a lot of cookies. The original recipe tells you to bake 6 cookies to a sheet which makes a huge cookie. I bake them smaller and yield about 18 dozen cookies. It is a good recipe when baking to give away. The cookie has no flour, but the oatmeal and peanut butter along with the chocolate makes for a very rich cookie. These are a big hit around the holidays.
1 pound butter 1 dozen eggs 4 c. sugar 2 pounds brown sugar (or 2 boxes) 1 T. white Karo® syrup (I have never used this and my cookies always turn out very good) 3 pounds peanut butter 1 T. vanilla 18 c. oatmeal 8 tsp. baking soda 1 pound chocolate chips 1 pound M&M’s®
Cream together the butter, eggs, sugars, peanut butter and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients. According to the size you desire, drop dough onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
