Are there natural ways to boost my immunoglobulin g deficiencies?

Posted by Joyce

I was in the Gulf War in 1990 - 1991 and came home very ill, with one sickness after the other.  I thought I was going to die over the next 5 years.  I slowly seemed to get a bit better, but always with lots of upper respitory infections, sinus infections, pain in all my muscles and joints, heart palpatations, rashes, deminished eye-sight, etc.   Lately, over the past three years, my sinus and upper respitory infections got worse and became more frequent, causing me to be on antibiotics 2 to 3 times a year.  I demanded more tests to figure this out, and was sent to an allergist who discovered that my immunoglobulkin G's were all extremely low or below the lowest ranges.

Joyce, I think you may have a number of things going on, many of which could be resolved (with time) by the daily use of adaptogens. Adaptogens are a special class of herb which help the body restore its natural balance; many issues you mention may be helped by taking herbs like Rhodiola rosea, Eleutherococcus, or Schizandra. I'd focus on the Rhodiola for three or four months to see how you do, or use a combination product like "Adapt 232" (Google it) which has all three in it. For the upper respiratory infections, you should be taking an herb called Andrographis. You can add it to your daily mix or take it only in larger quantities when you feel the sinus acting up. Many immune system products have Andrographis in them but try to find one which is exclusively Andrographis, or Andrographis mixed with an adaptogen like Eleutherococcus or Ashwaganda.

I've been taking a Rhodiola rosea product for six or seven years, daily, and I don't get colds and flu's any longer. This isn't an advertised effect of Rhodiola (not on the claims present on the boxes) but this immune system boost is a nice benefit of a quality adaptogen. Unfortunately, buying an herbal product is difficult at times because the quality varies so much between brands. Stick with a company that specializes in adaptogens (www.proactivebio.com as an example) and whatever you do, don't buy adaptogens (or any alternative medicine product) via some network marketing scheme.

Be careful with the medicines they take because they first have to know what the reaction, you can consult www.findrxonline.com and found that there contraindications for taking medication my mother, that's why I know the importance of reactions all medicine.
