A week ago, Time published a health special article: Chronic Pain , and mentioned Acupuncture as an effective way to treat pain. It mentions: ‘One of the best imports from Eastern medicine — acupuncture…believe it activates endorphin systems, and many consider it a highly effective complementary therapy.’ This article also mentions how the lack of modern tech in proving the cause of pain, causes doctors to dismiss it as ‘purely psychological’. Nowadays, improvements are seen as both doctors and patients are exploring other alternatives to treat chronic pain: acupuncture, meditation, mental-focusing technique etc. Great news.
