I have treated Crohn's disease with success in my practice with acupuncture and herbs. It works surprisingly well. Find an acupuncturist who also has facility with raw herbs.
Hi Fiona
There are many natural treatments for Crohns. They all work to soothe the inflammation that's raging in her intestines, and heal the intestinal cells so they can return to their job of absorbing food. Nutrition, herbs, homoeopathy and acupuncture - they're all good.
I agree with Dr Leyton, this is a condition you need professional help for, and its long term treatment. Find a qualified and accredited practitioner that both you and your daughter feel comfortable with.
Good luck! Let us know how you go
Regards, Olwen :-)
I've seen great results with a combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. I have two friends who were on the verge of emergency surgery who are now, months or years later, doing quite well. Definitely find someone with expertise in this area, and expect to develop a long-term treating relationship with that person. It can make a huge difference.
Good luck to you and your daughter!
Marilyn
