What is the diagnisis of colon wall thickness shown on ct scan?

Hi,

That is one of the defining signs of a diverticulitis flare up. Once the inflammation goes down the bowel wall gets normal again. Repeated attacks of diver can make the bowel wall go the other way and can make it scarred and narrowed which makes surgery more of an option.

Common causes on bowel wall thickening include immflammatory bowel disease, graft-versus-host disease, infection, hemorrhage and edema.
