And by the way it's $5000 for a "family" and $2500 for an individual like me. I can say for certain that a healthcare plan for the likes of me would exceed the $2500 mark by miles.*
I tried to watch the debate last night with an open mind, but I just couldn't help feeling like Senator McCain is completely out of touch with the realities of American healthcare. Maybe it has something to do with his $5000 makeup job.
Decide for yourself, but if I lost my job I would like to know where Mr. McCain thinks I'm going to find the money to save for a healthcare plan that would literally break my bank within a few visits to any specialist.
Just my 2 cents. Happy debating.
*In 2007, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average employer-sponsored insurance cost for a normal family was over $12,000. For an individual, it was over $4,700.
