I had that happen to me last week.  My boyfriend and I were walking up a hill and I had to stop every 8-10 steps and catch my breath while he was fine.  He said it scared him because I was really struggling.  I am a 40 yr old female, 5'5" and 136 lbs, so I don't think it's an overweight issue.  Very scary, my chest was burning.  Maybe excercise induced asthma? Never had anything like this before.

I'm going to the doctor this week to see what is wrong.  I will  post any information I receive.
