Top 7 Inspiring and Healing Messages to Recieve Daily in Your Inbox

Posted Mar 11 2010 12:00am

Beginning your day with intention and inspiration makes a huge difference in the kind of day you will have. There are a few very special sites that will send you inspiration every (or almost every) day to get you in the right frame of mind to tackle anything ahead. Each of these sites has helped me on a morning where I woke up let’s just say “not in such a good space”. They were able to heal me in that moment and change my frame of mind in just a few sentences. Reading the words from the following sites have calmed me, re-centered me and it is my pleasure to introduce them to you.

These were the first daily messages I had delivered to my inbox two years ago and I still enjoy reading them EVERY day.  They are short, sweet and offer just the right of motivation to set your mind in the right space.  Mike Dooley has much more information and free resources on his site .  Mike Dooley, on top of being featured in the movie “The Secret” was written about for the Heroes of Healing project by my dear friend Camille .  A few sample “ Messages from the Universe ” are below:

“I bet you could do something for someone today, Jennifer, who’d remember it for the rest of their life.

In a good way.

On your mark, get set…
The Universe”

and

“The BIG THING, Jennifer, rarely happens when you ask for it, nor does it typically come from who or where you expect. It usually comes a bit later, from someone you didn’t even know when you first asked, as a result of some weird turn of events that were impossible to foresee.

So, chill. Be patient. Enjoy the moment. And let your friends, employers, and partners off the hook. Besides, they’re going to have enough to deal with when the BIG THING does arrive, if you know what I mean.

Won’t be long,
The Universe”

I highly recommend these, they are lighthearted and ALWAYS put me in a better space after the 10-20 seconds it took to read it. Mike Dooley and the TUT messages can always make me smile.

Neale Donald Walsch is one amazing man.  I reviewed his brilliant book “ When Everything Changes, Change Everything” . He is also on the Heroes of Healing List written about by the wonderful Evelyn Lim of Abundance Tapestry .  His messages go right to the soul and offer inspiration and reflection.  You can receive these daily in your inbox and they always make me smile and think.  Here are a sample of a few:

On this day of your life, Jenny, I believe God wants you to know…

.

Horace Mann said that, and he was right. Thinking is

just the first step in creation. You’ve had some

wonderful ideas lately about changes you want to make

in your life. Now it’s time to put those thoughts into a

action, yes?

Love, Your Friend…. NEALE

AND

On this day of your life, Jenny, I believe God wants you to know…

Isn’t that amazing?

Now, because this essence is who you are and what you are made of, it can obviously never leave you.

Perhaps not so obviously, it can also be wonderfully helpful.

It can bring you peace in moments of stress, strength in moments of weakness,  courage in moments of fear, wisdom in moments of confusion, forgiveness in moments of anger, and love in all the moments of your life.

All you have to do is know that this is true, and it will be true for you, right now.   I think that’s terrific, don’t you?   You already know the reason that this particular reminder came to you today…

Love, Your Friend…. NEALE

Neale and his wife Em Claire offer tons of inspiration.  They are beautiful people; enlightening and inspiring many. I highly recommend you check out his site and Em Claire’s as well.

There are many different ways you can receive daily words of inspiration from Dr. Deepak Chopra. His website is full of resources.  He is very active on twitter and always offers brilliant quotes. You can also sign up to receive daily notes of inspiration from Dr. Chopra on Care 2’s newsletter page .  Dr. Chopra is also on the Heroes of Healing List written about by Dawn Abraham of Qualified Life Coach . Dr. Chopra’s books and his guided meditation for healing were integral in me healing myself – so to say I am a huge fan is a bit of an understatement.  Honestly, his work and learning about the mind body connection through him changed my life.  You will have to click on the link and go to the website to receive the full message or you can just opt to follow him on twitter or visit his website for daily inspiration. Here is a sample of what you can expect to receive if you sign up for Deepak’s Solour Energy Daily Inspiration” from Care2 :

WHEN IN DOUBT by Dr. Deepak Chopra:

“It’s hard to let go when you don’t know if you have made the right choice in the first place. Doubt lingers and ties us to the past. Many relationships end in divorce because of a lack of commitment, but that lack didn’t grow over time; it was present from the very outset and was never resolved.

It’s important not to make critical decisions when you are in doubt. The universe supports actions once they are begun, which is the same as saying that once you take a direction, you are setting a mechanism in motion that is very hard to reverse.

Can a married woman feel unmarried simply because she wants to? Can you feel that you aren’t your parents’ child simply because you think it would be better to have different parents? In both cases the ties to a situation, once it is in place, are strong. When you are in doubt, however, you put the universe on hold for a while. It favors no particular direction.

There is a good aspect to this pause and a bad one. The good aspect is that you are giving yourself room to become aware of more things, and with more awareness, the future can bring you new reasons to act one way or the other. The bad aspect is that inertia isn’t productive – without choices you cannot grow and evolve.

If doubts persist, you have to break out of stasis. Most people do this by plugging into the next choice, catching life on the rebound: “This didn’t work out, so I better do something else, no matter what.”

Doubt is destructive to the one quality that awareness is trying to bring to you: knowingness. At a deep level, you are the knower of reality. Doubt is a symptom indicating that you aren’t in contact with the knower inside.

There is no formula for removing doubts because finding the knower inside is personal. You have to be committed to expanding your awareness. Don’t be in doubt about that one thing. If you turn inward and follow the path that leads to your inner intelligence, the knower will be there waiting for you.”

Adapted from The Book of Secrets, by Deepak Chopra (Harmony Books, 2004).

Care 2 is a wonderful humanitarian site where you can find out about many causes and take part in promoting causes and rights that you believe in.  Care2 also has many other inspirational emails that can be sent to you depending on your interests.  Please visit their site to learn more . Deepak Chopra will always be one of my own Heroes and I am so very grateful for his life’s work.

One of my personal Heroes of Healing and her daily messages always inspire.  She is a woman who needs no introduction and her work has touched millions around the world.  Whether it is her magazine, TV show, radio show, school in Africa or now her own television station being produced – Oprah is a visionary and never ceases to amaze me with how much she cares and gives.  You can go to her site to sign up for the daily messages or to interact with other fans and delve into her vast resources.  When you click on the message in your inbox you will be taken to a page with other resources about the theme of that thought for the day.  Following is a sample quote – they are inspirational quotes from various inspirational people:

“If you ask people (as I often do) how they make decisions, ‘lucky’ people will talk about tuning in to information and instincts, while ‘unlucky’ people often mention pushing away the uncomfortable feeling they were headed for trouble.” Martha Beck , life coach

Receiving this daily inspiration is just like anything from Oprah… quality, authentic and sent with love. Look on the bottom right of this page to sign up for the newsletter .

I just found out about Dr. Susan Gregg a few months ago and WOW is she AMAZING!  I love her book “ The Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters ” and have given it to a few of my friends.  That book and the meditations on her site is what got me hooked on her work.  She offers many short meditations for free on her site.  She also offers brilliant words of inspiration daily right to your inbox.  I highly recommend getting to know Susan Gregg’s work.  Here is a sample daily email:

“There are always many ways to look at any situation. The situation
remains the same, but our perspective and the options we perceive
change.

Our ‘normal’ way of looking at things causes us to see limited
options. The view from the mountain top is more expansive than when
we are deep in the valley. The view is not ‘better than’ just
broader.

Imagine seeing your life from a limitless perspective and see what
happens. What options lie just beyond the horizon of your ‘normal’
perspective?

With lots of love and aloha,
Susan”

Dr. Susan Gregg’s books and meditations have been an added gift in my life over the last few months.  I highly recommend her “semi-daily” words of inspiration .

This site brought to you by Gayle Lynne Goodwin delivers the answer to the following question every day, “If this was you last day on Earth, what 500 words of brilliance would you share?” This question has been answered by many visionaries and no two answers are the same.  It is an inspiring way to begin the day and you never know WHOSE words you will be reading that day.  I have read some that have brought tears to my eyes they are so beautiful.  Whether it is from a well known author or a child humanitarian – these words WILL inspire you.  Here is the beginning of a recent one:

Carl Bozeman

Carl is the author of On Being God – Beyond Your Life’s Purpose.

“There are no unsuccessful lives. Don’t measure your life by what you achieve or think you must achieve. Your being here is already the greatest gift to the world! ~Carl Bozeman

If today were my last day on Earth and I could share 500 words of brilliance with the world, here are the important things I’d want to pass along to others…

Life should be fun! Every aspect of it is a thrill beyond anything we can describe or imagine. We have all heard the saying that “we are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Think about that. Most of us live our lives as if we must find some higher consciousness or grand purpose for why we are here when in reality “we are” the purpose. Our human-ness is our purpose. We are already divine beings and all the things we think we are not and must drive ourselves to become are already ours.

We came “down” to be human not the other way around. There is no “up” in human experience because everything about our spiritual nature is already up. As humans we need only to remember our spiritual nature, which for most of us, is buried in an illusion of three dimensional life. We literally come to Earth as “divine” beings and we are conditioned to be human and in that conditioning we lose the awareness of our greatness – the greatness of gods.

We are on vacation. Vacations are supposed to be fun and relaxing and in our hustle, bustle and hectic lives we wear ourselves out trying to be or accomplish something that compared to our true natures as gods (having a human experience) means nothing at all. Every aspect of our sojourn here on Earth should be spectacular and it would be if we could just see beyond the illusion we have created that blinds us to all that is really happening. How ironic that while we are here as gods having a human experience we get so stressed out with the rigors of life and all our various pursuits to find meaning and purpose that we have to take vacations from what is already supposed to be a vacation.”

I found Nigel’s site while looking for guided meditations.  It was one of those moments I said, “Boy do I LOVE the internet”. :-) Nigel’s newsletter might not come daily but it is chock full of information when it arrives.  Nigel’s site has a plethora of information about different kinds of meditations.  His messages when they arrive sometimes have a simple meditation you can do as well as more resources. This is PART of one of the emails I received

The Universal Mantra Meditation

This meditation comes from an ancient Indian text called the Malini Vijaya Tantra, which dates back about 5000 years. It is a very easy meditation, yet very powerful in its capacity to quiet your mind and connect you with your Essence or Inner Spirit.

This meditation uses a mantra as your object of focus. A mantra is a word or phrase that has the power to catalyze a shift into deeper, more peaceful states of awareness. The mantra most use for this meditation is: Aum. Aum does not have a literal translation. Rather, it is the essential vibration of the universe. If you were to tune into the actual sound of the cosmos, the perpetual sound of Aummm is what you would hear.

Although this mantra is sometimes chanted aloud, in this meditation, you will be repeating the mantra mentally… silently. Before we get to the actual steps, there are a few important points to be aware of.

* One of the keys to this meditation is repeating the mantra gently or faintly in your mind.

* The power of this technique comes from letting go and allowing your attention to dive into the deeper realms of awareness.

Therefore, even though you will be focusing on the mantra, staying focused on the mantra is not the aim of this meditation. Trying too hard to stay focused would keep your attention from descending into the deeper realms. Instead, you will be repeating the mantra with “minimal effort”, and giving your mind the space to wander a bit.

* Resist the temptation to make something happen, and allow the mantra to do the work. This meditation easily produces a shift into deeper, more peaceful states of awareness. (The degree of this will vary from session to session.) It increases the flow of energy to the brain and clears away a good deal of physical and emotional toxins.

Because of this detoxification, it is best to keep this meditation to 10 or 15 minutes a day when first beginning. After a month or so, it can be increased to 20 minutes, but that should be the maximum for anyone who does not have quite a few years of meditation experience. Also, it is advisable to drink a lot of pure water.

Finally, mantra meditation accelerates spiritual growth as you achieve a state of relaxation and self-awareness.

The Practice

1. Sit comfortably, with your eyes closed and your spine reasonably straight.

2. Begin repeating the mantra gently in your mind.

3. Repeat the mantra at whatever tempo feels most natural. There is no need to synchronize the mantra with your breathing, but if this occurs naturally, it’s ok.

4. Allow the mantra to arise more faintly in your mind… repeating it with minimal effort.

5. Continue repeating the mantra faintly, and allow for whatever happens.

6. If at any time, you feel that you are slipping into a sleep-like or dream-like state, allow it to happen.

7. If and when you notice that your attention has drifted completely off the mantra, gently begin repeating it again, and continue with minimal effort.

8. After 10 or 15 minutes, stop repeating the mantra, and come out of your meditation slowly.

The Sign Off

Some people struggle without the music or guide to stay focused on the practice. It is important to be kind to yourself when you slip. Gently steer your focus back on track. If you curse yourself or your ability there will be no benefits for you to receive.

Some days will be better than others… and it takes practice.

In Love and Light, We Explore!

Nigel Coates

I highly recommend checking out Nigel’s site and also his meditations .  The Magical Color Shower is a free meditation available when you sign up for the newsletter . It runs for 13 minutes and covers simple Breathing, Relaxation and Visualization techniques. Besides having a lot of knowledge on meditation he is also a really nice guy. :-)

I hope you enjoyed this list of  site’s I enjoy to receive daily inspiration from.  Everyone’s inbox is crowded and I have taken to unsubscribing to many sites.  These sites though are like treats to me that I look forward to.  Sometimes it is that one phrase that can change your mood or make you look at things a bit differently.  All of these 7 people do just that with their work.  Finding words that make me think or put myself into another space for a few seconds always works wonders for me. Please feel free to share if you have gained inspiration from these or other daily messages.  Who do you look to for inspiration if your day has started off “on the wrong foot”?  How do you switch your day around? You know I LOVE comments! :-)
