pain from front groin down front and inner legs

I have been diagnosed with upper leg tendonitis mainly on walking front of thigh and inner leg from groin down not quite to knee  I stretch but to no avail I am taking diclofenic and 1 codiene  30/500paracetomol before I go walking on hill
