Pain below belly button

I keep having the reoccuring pain that is right below my belly button and sometimes extends down. It's all centered, neither right nor left, but just starts right beneath my navel. The pain is very sharp and stabbing. It lasts different lengths of time but never more than like 30 seconds or so, but it is still VERY painful and continues to come and go. What could this be?
