inside and outside of upper thighs always have tenderness

i "always" seem to have tenderness that runs from the lower back across the top of the hips that continue down to the knees, it's not a constant pain but a constant tnderness when touched. when sleeping on my right side there seem to be extreme tenderness on the hip bone. just need some advice-ive been told maybe sciatic nerve or vascular disorder. suggestions helpful
