im having really sharp pains around my rib cage on the left side and have a really bad cough that wont go away wth over the coun

cough produces mucus, and frequent, wont go away....the sharp pain around my ribcage (left side) hurts everytime i move, not sure if i may have pulled a muscle, but it gets really bad when i lay down and the only way i can lay without being in extreme pain is on my left side :(
