I have had neuropathy for 23 years and it is gradually growing worse as the doctors have predicted. When the burning is really bad, I take percocet. I also take neurontin that does not seem to help at all. The burning is like a fever - I chill at the same time. I have numbness from the waist down - the feet being the most effected I use a wheeling walker to get around. I exercise and try to refocus. I believe the cause is nutritional because I had 2/3 of my stomach removed years ago. What is left just sits there, no muscle and does not digested. Food goes through me by gravity. Sounds like fun, doesn't it.
