I have heart burn everyday. The burning in my throat that feels so painful.

There has not been a day gone by that I do not have the firey flames in my throat. I have tried over the counter products and they do not work. 5 minutes after taking a pepcid complete or tumbs and the heartburn comes right back. This is really effecting my life. Is there anything I can do?
