husband's stomache looks huge always complained about side pain around the right rib to stomache opening area what is it?

Was told he has hep c and has fatty liver tissue, has had a sonogram done around the mid section, has had a liver biopsy, and is now seeing a gastronolgist

OVERWEIGHT stomach looks huge at the mouth of the stomach and feels hard to the touch just recently became very noticible
