a podiatrist told me it was a cyst on the bottom of my foot that has blood in it. he aspirated it but came back right away. is there any way to keep it reasonably small to keep the discomfort down. i was told surgery to remove it has a 50% chance of it growing back. i've had it for about 25 years. thank you
I am assuming that you have what I had a gaglion cysts. Yes the chance of it coming back is high and very likely. I had the simple surgery and seemed like I was going to be out of work for a few weeks. I have had complications with the nerves in my foot from the cysts removal and now have been out of work for almost a year due to I have now had three surgeries. I know that you can often massage it and apply pressure to it and it may actaully make it smaller. I guess you just have to outweigh the pain level you are experincing with whether you feel like you should have the surgery. Good luck
