Dull Joint Ache

I had what seemed like a bout of flu in December.
The symptoms were a sore throat and joint pain in the ankles wrists under the arms. The pain moved aroun over a few days. Eventaully this wore off but over the last five months it has come back on about five occasions. Sometimes with cold symptoms sometimes not. I had blood tests done but nothing showed up. Could this just be a virus still in my body after 5 months? What should I do?
