Does sepsis have after effects?

Posted by achy

In April I had sepsis.  since then I still have achy muscles and sore bones.  I did not have any of these problems before I had sepsis.  I cannot find any information on after effects of sepsis.  I had a blood test and do not have an infection so I am wondering if it could have damaged nerves?

I do not have an answer, but I have noticed the same thing.  I am sore/stiff all over, but my thighs are the worst.  When I stand to walk, I walk like an elderly person.  I haven't noticed any bone discomfort, but I do have achy joints.

Were you extremely swollen during your sepsis?  I was.  I wonder if that has something to do with it.

I am curious to see if someone has an answer!

Good luck.
