My spouse was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, has had one knee surgery for a torn miniscus, and now is complaining of muscle aches in his leg below the knee. He says they feel like the soreness you experience after exercise, but the aches come and go. His doctor doesn't want to peform the surgery on his other knee because (in the doc's words) the deterioration is not significant enough to warrant surgery yet. Could these aches be a symptom of the osteoarthritis in his knees?
