Mayo Clinic has a nice write-up about restless leg syndrome . I am not aware of any link between bunionectomy and RLS, certainly not as a post-operative complication. Make sure your RLS isn't hiding a peripheral neuropathy, iron deficiency, or chronic kidney disease. Good luck!

I had a Bunionectomy a few year ago and after that ,I battle restless leg synodrome and on medication now is their a connection
