Are You Going To Finish Strong?

Acts 20:24 - " But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God."

This young man is quite amazing! He has such strong faith! A powerful testimony! But guess what? The same faith and strength is available to each and every one of us! On another video, ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtweZxNGk1Y ) Nick Vijicic says, “ We can’t compare sufferings.” So true… we sit and see this young man and say, ‘wow, he has been delt a low blow’, or ‘ his suffering is so great so he needs more faith’. No, it doesn’t work that way. The same amount of faith is offered to all of us! We just have to CLAIM it! BEE-lieve it! In 1Thes. 3:7 - Paul says, “ So we have been greatly comforted, dear brothers and sisters, in all of our own crushing troubles and suffering, because you have remained strong in your faith.” He also says in Col 2:7Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done.” Where does strong faith come from? GOD! How does our faith grow? By knowing God more; and drawing up nourishment from Him. This is why I started the study on my blog called – Getting To Knowing God More. I want to have strong faith; I want my life to overflow with thanksgiving for ALL He has done! When my life on earth is over, may it be said of me as Paul wrote to Timothy, “ I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” ( 2Tim. 4:7 )

What about you? Do you want to finish strong?

Thank you Heavenly Father that You loved us so much that you gave your only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on an old cruel cross for our sins so we can receive this marvelous faith to help us finish our “course” with joy. May our lives overflow with Your joy, with thanksgiving for ALL You have done for us. May our roots grow down deep into You and draw up nourishment from You so that we can remain strong in our faith and testify to Your gospel and finish our course strong. In Jesus precious name, amen.
