Wow! I am so sorry about all the pain you've experienced. I cannot believe that the ER doctor didn't research further about your leg. I think it is totally inexcusable to write it off as a "pulled muscle." I am so sick of medical professionals underestimating our level of pain! I think you should write a letter to the liaison for the hospital so that they can be aware of their mistake and prevent it from happening to someone else. That way you can at least know that this mishap can be turned into something positive and maybe it will help someone else. That seems to help me deal with my illness. I just keep telling myself that maybe I'm helping prevent this disaster from happening to another person and they will get help before it's too late.

Shortly after and auto accident I began developing an excrutiating pain in my leg... I quickly became a daily visitor the the ER and my "specialist" insisted that I had simply pulled a muscle. The pain however got worse by the day and I had to begin sleeping on the living room floor because I could not get up and down the stairs and eventually could not walk at all. After many many visits and a concoction of pain killers, muscle relaxers and sleeping pills I began getting extremely ill and my "Dr" still insisted that I had pulled a muscle. Nearly two months later my "pulled muscle", turned out to be a 19cm hematoma in my thigh that, as a result of time, abcessed and turned into a staph infection.... Is this an excusable thing to miss or is it just my opinion?
