I had the traumatic injury in Jan 2006 after emergency surgery. Went back to work dispite the pain for 2 years. Finally a dr said ankle fusion would help because the pain was getting too much. now 18 months later I'm in pain everyday ,not working, ankle swollen and the RD says there is nothing to be done but take pain meds.
