What makes your Bilirubin High and what is it in Cirrhosis of the Liver?

I have Non-Alcohic Cirrhosis and my Bilirubin score was 3.5 and the normal is 0.2-1.0.  I would like to find out what this high score means for my overall Cirrhosis which I have had 6 years now.  Thank Tou very much and am looking to hear from someone soon!!!!
