I love these cookies! And they are so wonderfully easy. I threw these together while I was cooking dinner last night and I was having a very easy dinner.
Here is the ingredient list: Organic Chocolate Chunks (Organic Natural Evaporated Cane Sugar, Organic Cocoa Paste, Organic Cocoa Butter, GMO-free Soy Lecithin/emulsifier, Gluten-free Organic Vanilla. Chunks may contain traces of milk protein due to manufacturing equipment.); Organic Natural Evaporated Cane Sugar, Brown Rice Flour, Brown Sugar, White Rice Flour, Tapioca Starch, Sweet Rice Flour, Grainless & Aluminum Free Baking Powder (Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Potato Starch), Sea Salt, Organic Cocoa Powder (processed with alkali), Gluten-free Natural Flavor (contains corn derivative), Xanthan Gum, Baking Soda.
You add butter (or margarine), an egg (or egg replacer, prepared), and I think that's all; without actually looking at the bag right now I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure that's it.
So, as most chocolate chip cookies they aren't healthy. They are cookies. And they are Yummy!! Especially with vanilla ice cream. I made a couple of little mini ice cream sandwiches last night and yummy yummy.
If you want home made cookies with hardly any work at all, grab a bag of this cookie mix. Of course, like most gluten free mixes it is a little costly, but when you look at the ingredient list I can see why. (about $5.00)
Another good thing about this mix. I can find it at Kroger now. I love it when I don't have to go to a specialty store.
A note about Kroger: They have begun to put a new emblem on many of their products that say if they are Gluten Free or Vegan or Nut Free, or many other things. Its a little round symbol, look for it, on their name brand products. It's great on their ice cream and such.
