how can amino acid aid in stage 3 chronic kidney disease

Posted by mausi

I read that amino acids could prevent further damage to the kidneys if followed with a low protein diet

There are studies that have shown that supplementation with keto-acid amino acid supplements in chronic renal failure patients has brought blood urea levels down, raised albumin levels, raised transferrin levels, and even brought down creatinine levels...these are ALL very good things to happen in a renal patient.

You will want to consult with a well educated, renal nutritionist to get started safely with this.

I hope that helps.
