How long has it been since you've had an ice cream cone? Well if you are anything like me it has been a while! I really wanted an ice cream cone but couldn't find any at any local store but when I was in Asheville, NC early in October I found these in their local Earth Fare grocery store. Unfortunately, they don't carry them in our Earth Fare. : (
I've seen these on line, but once you buy them and then pay for shipping well they just aren't worth it! The cost in the store was only $3.99. I've seen these online for that price too, but again, once you pay shipping it would come to $11.82. I just didn't want my ice cream in a cone that bad.
Remember, those silly little cones you used to get as a kid? They weren't the really good waffle cones, or the thick sugar cones, they were the papery type of cake cone you loved, the kind that started to fall apart before you got your ice cream eaten? Well, this is that kind of cone. And I just loved it. It brought back all those memories of fighting to get the ice cream eaten before it dripped all over you. And not really caring if it did. My husband still likes to put his ice cream in a bowl then puts the cone on top. Silly man!
So, if you can find them, and you want to bring back some memories, or create some new ones with your kids, you really ought to pick up some "Let's Do" Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones!
FYI - The Gluten Free Mall also has some Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones by two different manufacturers. Barkat makes regular GF Ice Cream Cones and Waffle Cones, Goldbaum's Natural Foods makes regular GF Ice Cream Cones and Sugar Cones.
