Day 7: "Gatorade is like drinking sweat."

Posted Nov 07 2011 8:50pm
I went to the Heart Rhythm Specialist in Birmingham today. I don't need a heart ablation! YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!
He was pretty worried about how low my B12 level was, which was nice because my general family doctor didn't seem to care at all. So all he really said was to make sure my B12 levels and vitamin D levels come up, to not worry about my PVCs and PACs just yet, and that I up my salt levels.
I'm trying to lose weight, and upping my salt intake is the opposite of what I need to do. That's the thing that people don't understand. My heart rate jumps up when I stand up, blood pools in my feet, I hurt all the time, I'm exhausted, I'm on steroids and hormones, AND NOW I was specifically told to up my salt intake. And to try to get off Florinef again. I know I'm always supposed to eat a lot of salt, but I haven't really been doing it. It makes losing weight almost as impossible as me sprouting another arm. And that's what I wish people could see just by looking at me. All they see is someone lazy and boring.
Anyway, he said "Gatorade is like drinking sweat!" So....there's that.
Then I went to get a steroid shot, oral steroids, and antibiotics for this constant headache I've had. Exciting. More steroids!

"Case of the Mondays. Write about something that gets you down, burns you out, or makes you sad. Purge it in a blog post. Turn it around at the end. Tell Tuesday why you’re ready for it."

What makes me mad is people who don't understand and don't try to. Especially teachers. I'm so tired. Whatever. This will be a short post.
Some professors don't care if you were in the hospital, at a doctor's appointment, or whatever. They assume all of it is bad. If I have an appointment in Birmingham that could possibly help me even 5%, I WILL miss class to go to it. I try my best to schedule appointments for when I don't have class. But that's not always possible, especially when the doctor is two hours away.
