This morning I tried Bob's Red Mill's GF Mighty Tasty Hot Cereal for breakfast. It reminded me of Cream of Wheat but much grittier. It contains brown rice, corn, buckwheat, and sorghum. I had it with butter and sugar on it and it was tasty but I wasn't crazy about the texture.
Compared to Cream of Rice or Cream of Wheat, well it fails I think. The texture is too gritty, but the taste is good, so if you don't expect a creamy texture then it is passes. I'd eat it again. And it stuck with me until lunch.
Now, the directions are for I think 8 servings, and it doesn't tell you that it's 8 servings worth you have to figure that out. Why can't people list directions for 1 or 2 servings and let us add instead of cutting a recipe, in this case, in eighths? I just found this a little aggravating, especially first thing in the morning. Hey, I'm not a morning person sometimes. : )
