Bad news

So, today I went to my Urologist's office fully expecting to have a simple in-office bladder instillation, which is where they put medicine directly into your bladder. But the doctor basically told me that my disease has progressed too far and that a bladder instillation probably wouldn't do any good. This is all about the Neurogenic Bladder/Interstitial Cystitis.

So he made me an appointment with a urology surgeon at Vanderbilt. It normally takes 6 months to a year to get an appointment, but I now have an appointment in 2 months. It sucks to have to keep doing this for 2 months.

But the main thing that sucks? Even if I have something implanted/taken out to deal with the Interstitial Cystitis/Nuerogenic Bladder (which is more than likely the next step), that only takes care of part of the problem. My nervous system is still faulty. My heart is still stupid. So even if some of the pain is eased from this....there's still a long way to go.

Trying to stay positive as best as I can.
