The First Vivid Dream

Posted Dec 21 2010 12:10pm

I had vivid dreams that are still clearly stuck in my memory.

The first vivid dream:

I was visiting magnificent building which could be a school, a museum, a mansion, or even a castle. There was a some art exhibition going. People are having tea at outside terrace.

I don’t know why I was there. But, I’ve finished what I had to do and was looking for my long-distant friend who could be having lunch with her friend.

It wasn’t difficult to find her. However, she wasn’t in a good mood. She told me that she was too tired to drive me back home and I had to take a taxi home. I was a little upset with this, although I knew this could happen. And I said to her that was the reason why I offered to drive. She took it as criticise and got even grumpier.

At this point, I had my child brother and sister to look after. And I was upset that the friend didn’t even offer to catch a taxi for us. I was getting grumpy as it was almost impossible to catch a taxi with my wheelchair.

I also knew I had to clean up my young brother and sister’s mess at home, and prepare meal for them, too. I was also getting very exhausted and was feeling I won’t be able to make it home.

With the desperation, I pushed my wheelchair to find a taxi. My brother and sister were not with me at this point. I wheeled into cobbled back street. It was getting dark. I would have enjoyed walking along the street if I could walk. It was nice European style and quite steep down hill, which is disaster for a wheelchair.

Wheelchair slid down by itself. I tried to slow down, but my bare hands didn’t have any grip to do so. I saw the T-junction at the bottom and feared I was going to crash into a car or a house.

For my relief, I didn’t crash into the house, neither a car. The wheelchair landed as if it had been wheeling on a flat street.

Then, there was three men who were surprised to see me. One of them was my old boyfriend. I didn’t know the other two, but they seem to know about me. They were more excited than the old boyfriend. They whispered something to his ear. They looked back at me and giggled. They took me to this alfresco restaurant. There were about 20 people at the table. The three men and these people at the table are here to perform at festival.

They all seem to know about me. And some brave people talked to me as if I’m a celebrity or someone very important. Nobody explained what was happening or why there are here. Not knowing why I was invited to their table or their intention, I felt very uncomfortable.

They heard about how my old boyfriend was in love with me and took this accidental meeting as struck by destiny. He didn’t care how I was uncomfortable with these strangers. He was enjoying this opportunity to boost his popularity up in the group. It was very like him.

The moment I met him again out of the blue, I thought about the possibility of getting back with him. I felt how nice it would be to have a boyfriend again.  However, it didn’t take long to realise how it would be like being in relationship with him.

I left the table in my wheelchair alone. Nobody realised I was gone.

Then, I woke up. Strangely, someone else was in my mind as if I was protected by that person.
